Electronic Warfare (EW) Anechoic Chamber Setup,
Operation, and Testing Services

EDO has provided Electronic Warfare and microwave anechoic chamber engineering support services for over 25 years.

An Anechoic Chamber is an enclosed space designed with walls that absorb radiation or sound that basically creates a free-field environment for testing. Anechoic chambers can be designed for either Radio Frequency (RF) or acoustic measurements.

We have in-depth RF/microwave engineering and technical experience in operating large, medium, and small EW/microwave anechoic chambers.
EDO recently installed a small Radio Frequency (RF) anechoic chamber in our Lancaster, CA facility to test microwave devices/equipment.
Our Electronic Warfare engineering and technical capabilities in testing EW systems, RF antennas, and RF energy parameters enables us to provide the personnel and technologies you need for your anechoic chamber testing.

Benefield Anechoic Facility (BAF) located at Edwards Air Force Base (AFB), CA

EDO knows how anechoic chamber facility configuration can effect test results and how to optimize anechoic chamber facilities for the equipment under test.
We have hands-on experience in chamber requirements, test requirements generation, planning, and real-time anechoic chamber testing of electronic warfare systems.

Our experience includes logical threat identification and generation, analyzing countermeasures responses, and the design, installation, and operation of the instrumentation required to document the test results.
We are highly skilled in collecting data from anechoic chamber testing, designing data reduction algorithms, reducing and analyzing the data, and writing technical reports tailored to the needs of the customer.
Our RF engineering capabilities enable us to reorient and modify absorber material to improve testing results.
We design and develop tests plans and procedures for anechoic chamber and EW systems under test (SUT).
EDO is a one-stop source for supporting your Electronic Warfare Anechoic Chamber testing.
