| EDO is very strong in all aspects
Electronic Warfare T&E including: |
 |
Mission planning
EDO personnel support all phases of Flight Test planning including
the translation of defined test requirements into specific mission
scenarios and test run-by-run procedures. We produce flight cards
for the operators of the Item-Under-Test and for ground and airborne
test assets.
|
 |
Test design
Our engineers have expertise in developing tests that will cause
the system under test (SUT) to respond in an expected manner. They
can design tests for a Line Replaceable Unit (LRU), subsystem, end-to-end
system test, a specific threat, or a complete test flight flown
against a variety of threats.
|
 |
Test conduct
EDO engineers are skilled in organizing, controlling, and conducting
tests in a variety of environments that include flight test, lab
testing, flight line testing, and system installation and checkout.
|
 |
Pre & post flight testing
We support all phases of systems preflight and post-flight ground
testing including troubleshooting, maintenance, and system baseline
verification against established standards. We have engineered and
manufactured specialized test equipment designed to automate and
enhance complicated ground testing procedures.
|
 |
Anechoic chamber testing
Our engineers have in-depth experience in designing, building,
and operating EW and Radar anechoic chambers.

 |
Test range operations
We support Air Force and Navy programs in the identification of
test assets required, modes of operation, optimal routes to be flown,
and data format and collection requirements.
|
 |
System Under Test (SUT) analysis
| EDO engineers are skilled
in: |
 |
Ensuring that
facilities used for testing are configured properly to prevent
interference that would cause invalid test results. |
 |
Controlling Radio
Frequency (RF) and digital test equipment to generate the proper
test environment for the SUT. |
 |
Developing tests
that manipulate the inputs to the SUT that should cause specific
system responses. |
 |
Analyzing SUT
test responses as the inputs are manipulated. |
 |
Generating reports
that show the SUT performance, detected problems, improper responses,
and system parameters during the testing. |
|
 |
SUT installation and checkout
Our engineers and technicians have installed, tested, and maintained
radar and EW systems in aircraft, mobile trailers, laboratory facilities,
and remote sites.
|
 |
Flight test report generation
We produce Flight Test Reports as required, including Quick Look,
Mission Specific, and Program level reports, written to the technical
detail that the requester desires.
|
 |
Data reduction and analysis
EDO personnel perform data reduction, analysis, and scoring
of the SUT performance using state-of-the-art automation and processing
techniques.
|
 |
Threat Simulation and Validation
We provide Threat Simulation and Validation support for military
and government organizations.
